According to Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, the United States repatriated 5,282 migrants to Mexico during the first seven days following President Donald Trump’s inauguration. During a Thursday morning press briefing, Sheinbaum told reporters that less than 4,500 returnees were Mexican nationals.

According to a source within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Border Patrol is applying a legal process known as Expedited Removal on a broad scale along the southwest border. Maine’s Office of Cannabis Policy (OCP) Director John Hudak told state legislators he is aware that his office has been issuing marijuana grow licenses to persons associated with Transnational Criminal Organizations (TCO). On Wednesday, Hudak told members of the state legislature’s Veterans and Legal Affairs Committee that his agency cannot deny the medical licensing requests.
