Goldman Sachs will drop a demand that corporate boards of directors include women and members of minority groups as financial firms backpedal from D.E.I. promises.

The announced departure of Deborah F. Rutter, the center’s president since 2014, comes as the center continues to search for a new board chair while navigating a second Trump term.

The honorees include high-profile figures like Hillary Clinton, the singer Bono, the philanthropist and donor George Soros, and Lionel Messi.
